Aloma M. Arndt, 81, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, April 12th, at home.

Born in Pottsville on December 27, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Virginia J. (Hewes) and Earl H. Dreher.

Aloma was the widow of Robert D. Arndt.

After graduation from Schuylkill Haven High School in 1960, Aloma attended Empire Beauty School, Pottsville.

Aloma retired from the Walk In Shoe Co. after 27 years of employment.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven.

She enjoyed singing karaoke at Cressona American Legion #222 and Auburn VFW.

Aloma is survived by a daughter, Virginia, wife of Brian McDonald, of Schuylkill Haven; a son, Robert E. Arndt, husband of Connie, of Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Rachel, Brendan, Taylor, Devin, Brian, David, and Jacqueline; and great grandchildren, Raine, Anya, and Declan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Aloma is preceded in death by a sister,Jacqueline Dreher and boyfriend, Kenneth Ganter.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 18th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc, Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Brian Reading officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of services.

Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

At the family's request, memorial donations may be forwarded to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Hillside SPCA, PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.

Frances M. "Peanut" Frantz, 90, of Williamstown, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Lykens, November 11, 1933, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Lynch Flynn. Peanut was a 1951 graduate of the former Williamstown Catholic High School where she was the valedictorian of her class.

She had been a very active member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown, where she was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women, the choir, and was a CCD teacher. She could always be be found volunteering at the church wherever need. Peanut was currently attending Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel, Tower City.

Peanut dedicated her life to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and had been an avid bowler, belonging to a bowling league. She had also been involved with the Williamstown Girl Scouts with her daughters.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Frantz, Jr.; a son-in-law, Ronald "Monk" Calnon; a sister, Patricia Summers; four brothers, Joseph, Edward "Ned", Richard, and William Flynn.

Surviving are her four daughters, Patricia Frantz, Florida, Jeanette McSparron and her husband Dane, Muir, Kathy Calnon, Halifax and Barbara Reedy and her husband Adam, Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Julie, Angela, Autumn, Eric, and Adam; nine great grandchildren; one brother Michael Flynn, Williamstown; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00 am from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel, Tower City. A visitation will be from 10-11 at the church. Peanut will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Chapel c/o Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry Street, Tremont PA 17981

Albert J. Pogera, 90, of Dad Burnhams Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 in the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.

Born on November 7, 1933 in Palo Alto, he was a son of the late Peter J. Sr. and Frances Wassel Pogera.

He was a member of Hetzel's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.

Albert was a Marine Corp Veteran having served during the Korean War. He received the Rifle Marksman Badge, U.S.M.C. Basic Badge, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal w/ 1 star, and United Nations Service Medal.

He was a machine operator and worked for American Argo Corp.

Albert was a life member of Pine Grove VFW Post 3432, Amvets #429, and Roedersville Game and Fish, a 40 yr. member of American Legion, social member of Rock Fish & Game, Summit Station Fire Co. and Mt. Etna Fire Co.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 64 years, Alice M. Herring Pogera; a brother, Peter Pogera, Jr; two sisters, Frances Maccarone and Lillian Leonard; step sisters and brothers, Marie Hopper, Mary Zych, Maxine Harvey, Christine Golden, Roy Robinson and Bill Robinson.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Bruen of Pine Grove; two grandchildren, Jessica Staller and Travis Riegel two great grandchildren, Eithyn and Tevyn; a step sister, Margie Mann of Beufort, N.C.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April. 18, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery Schuylkill Haven.
